Trainers Induction Courses
Course Type: Provider Induction
Course Overview
This 2-day event is the essential first step for all who wish to deliver ITC qualifications, accredited by S/QCA and approved by the HSE. The induction introduces the new Provider to the methods, systems and ethos of ITC in particular and the first aid sector in general. Our aim is for your to become accredited to deliver the EFAW within 3 MONTHS of the Induction event.
Pre-requisites
Open access to ITC means it is possible for anyone to deliver accredited first aid training whatever their experience. We devise an action plan with mentor support to quickly get you to the position of being able to deliver quality training. Regulatory requirements include:
- A current First Aid at Work certificate
- Some form of adult education qualification (threshold level is PTLLS)
- Following a rigorous approval and verification procedure
- Maintenance and production of training and cpd (continuing professional development) logbooks
There are no artificial hoops, after the Induction event once you have demonstrated that you can organise (venue/candidates) and deliver (train, assess and use documents) then you are a verified Independent Provider.
Programme
Do not be fooled by the list. This is a dynamic active event where you are expected to take a full and active part doing what Providers do. i.e. plan, prepare, train, assess, evaluate, improve. You will be expected to deliver sessions and analyse the delivery of sessions. We will provide all of the information, resources and strategies to become a successful ITC Provider.
