ITC Centres are organisations who wish to deliver ITC qualifications, they train and support their qualified staff.

Overview

Organisations that become ITC Centres may be small businesses, educational establishments or HSE approved organisations wishing to deliver accredited qualifications. Centres have the resources, expertise and qualified staff in place to maintain internal standards.  

As compared to an individual or sole trader small business that wishes to deliver ITC qualifications.  This small business is termed an ITC Provider (click blue button if this is of interest).

If you wish your organisation to become an ITC Centre (approved to deliver Ofqual regulated qualifications) then the first step is to talk directly to ITC to confirm suitability.  There are various routes to becoming an accredited Centre (dependant upon how much support is initially required).  Ultimately the Centre has to demonstrate to an ITC representative that it can teach, assess, maintain appropriate records, use ITC administration & ITC procedures and have polices in place to protect the interests of candidates and the integrity of the qualification. 

• Complete centre approval form 'C1' and qualification approval form 'C3' and arrange a visit by ITC representative.

Or

• Send a member of staff to a Provider Induction event and after they are accredited as a Provider by ITC they can then develop the Centre systems to meet ITC criteria.
• Employ an existing Provider to develop the Centre systems to meet ITC criteria.
• Arrange with the ITC Office for a bespoke Induction event for staff members who then have to develop and demonstrate training, assessment and verification procedures to meet ITC criteria.

Centres can be approved to deliver Ofqual accredited qualifications by following one of the above approval routes:

• ITC Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid - QCF - 501/2396/8
• ITC Level 2 Award in CPR & AED - QCF - 600/1755/7
• ITC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work - QCF - 501/1714/2
• ITC Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid - QCF - 501/1713/0
